I was more than a little disappointed by both the trailer and the poster; but, nevertheless, I remain excited about the upcoming release. It may be just be a bad promotions department. *shrug*

I’m still trying to be optimistic, as I really like the cast and I’m curious to see if Mara can pull off the role. I don’t think the American versions will measure up to the originals, just because there’s something about the films being in the language of the original material, but I think it could be interesting to see what changes they feel are necessary for an American audience. I’ve just been less than enthused with the choice to feature so much female nudity in the promotional materials! Like you said, I think it’s probably just poor marketing decisions.
