A photoshoot of Rooney Mara as Lisbeth has been released—I’ll be posting the photosets shortly—and I have to say that the dedication the filmmakers have shown to getting the image right is very encouraging.
But that feeling of encouragement was punctured a bit when I read this sentence: “Fincher’s film departs dramatically from the book: Mikael Blomkvist is more gentlemanly, Salander (shown here on the motorcycle from the movie) is more aggressive—and the ending has been completely altered.”
What do you guys think about this? Will good come of this or not? Personally, I can’t think of a way for Salander to be more aggressive, and I don’t know what a gentlemanly Blomkvist will look like. And I’ve no idea why they felt the ending should be altered. I’ll be opening up the ask box (finally), so let me know your thoughts!
