The American remake’s casting is still underway, and it was just announced that Christopher Plummer is going to be taking on the role of Henrik Vanger, Harriet’s grandfather. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Plummer on stage as well as on screen and I have to say that he is phenomenal!
The cast so far is as follows:
- Mikael Blomkvist: Daniel Craig
- Lisbeth Salander: Rooney Mara
- Erika Berger: Robin Wright
- Martin Vanger: Stellan Skarsgaard
- Henrik Vanger: Christopher Plummer
I think it’s looking great! As much as I love the Swedish films, I can’t see very much going wrong with this cast!
