Quick Note
Hey, all! I know it’s been legitimately forever since I’ve checked in on this blog and I truly do apologize. I just haven’t had any time to do any blogging besides on my personal, and as a result, all of my other blogs (not just this one) have fallen by the wayside. My sincere apologies.
That said, it’s been a big last couple of months, since Fincher’s film debuted...

villa-kulla asked: omg and I completely forgot the question part:P as we know, the series would have gone on for 12 books if Stieg Larsson had lived. Do you think we would have seen Lisbeth and Mikael end up together romantically? Or a rekindling of their sexual relationship? I'm not sure, I think they would have just been a kick-ass pair of equals with an unbreakable bond of friendship but you never know....
villa-kulla asked: new on tumblr and just found your blog! I'm a huge fan of the series, and I love that your blog focuses on Mikael Blomkvist, too. Since Lisbeth is such an original and out-there character, people can tend to forget what an awesome and BAMF Mikael is:P

darkewe asked: Those were actually my thoughts, exactly.
I was more than a little disappointed by both the trailer and the poster; but, nevertheless, I remain excited about the upcoming release. It may be just be a bad promotions department. *shrug*

Eva's memoirs to come out in June in US →
Eva’s memoir, entitled There Are Things I Want You to Know about Stieg Larsson and Me for its US release, will be coming out here in June.
In the book, she writes that if she were given control of Larsson’s literary estate, she could finish the fourth Millennium title, for which there are only notes. It was to be called in Swedish Guds hämd, or God’s Revenge.

Yet another article about Eva’s memoirs, this one from the Daily Mail. It’s got an interesting perspective—a bit more “woman scorned” than most of the others—and Eva (Stieg’s longtime partner, in case some of you aren’t aware) always has good things to say. Check it out!

I think we've got a mixed blessing on our hands...
A photoshoot of Rooney Mara as Lisbeth has been released—I’ll be posting the photosets shortly—and I have to say that the dedication the filmmakers have shown to getting the image right is very encouraging.
But that feeling of encouragement was punctured a bit when I read this sentence: “Fincher’s film departs dramatically from the book: Mikael Blomkvist is more...

USA TODAY names Stieg Larsson Author of the Year! →
“With the right character, an author can defy death — and live on in the hearts of readers. Think Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes. Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot. And now, Stieg Larsson and Lisbeth Salander, his world-famous girl with the dragon tattoo.”

Review of the stage adaptation of MEN WHO HATE... →
My friend and sort-of colleague Chris, of Sally’s Friends, got a chance to see the stage version of Men Who Hate Women, and fortunately it sounds fantastic! It looks like they did a good job of adapting the material to the stage as well as keeping true to the spirit of the original. Check it out; Chris does good work!

LA Times: "News about Stieg Larsson's next book" →
The LA Times has released a small article with a few tidbits about Larsson’s family maybe having the manuscript for a fourth book after all. His father and brother are going to appear on CBS on Sunday morning to talk about the manuscript’s history. There’s some really contradictory information being presented here, so I’m curious, to say the least. Anyone who’s in the...

New Look!
Hey, all!
Music Box Films, the US distributor of Hornet’s Nest, had some awesome promotional materials on their website, including the US poster for the film. I made that the new background and changed up the icon, and I added the promo images for the film to the queue. (Which I’m hoping will post.)
I hope to get up some new content in the next couple days. Enjoy the pictures and...
